Founding & Mission:
Coach Troy founded the Ridgewood Irish Basketball program in 2012 to promote the
game of basketball in the town of Ridgewood.  Irish Basketball offers both a Spring and
Fall session allowing athletes to play outside of the regular basketball season.  The Irish
is a developmental program that concentrates on building individual skills while teaching
both offensive and defensive team concepts.

Spring Season runs from Mid-March thru Mid-May in which the athletes will receive 2-3
hours of instruction per week and compete in 12 games over 6 weekends.  Although we
do ask for commitment we do understand that Spring Sports take priority and ask for
communication of conflicts in advance.  Scheduling is somewhat flexible and the Coach
will try to avoid as many conflicts as possible.  Registration for the Spring will be due in
late February.

Fall Season runs from early September thru the month of October to better prepare
athletes for their upcoming season.  This season also incorporates 2-3 hours of
instruction per week and includes 10 games over 5 weekends.  Registration for the fall
program is due in mid-August.

All games are played in Bergen County allowing for multi-sport athletes to participate in
the program.
